Kellie Martin is an American film and television actress best known for her roles as Christy Huddleston in the 'period drama' series "Christy', Rebecca Thatcher in the Life Goes On, a family-oriented drama as well as Lucy Knight in the medical drama 'ER'. Her other notable roles include appearing in the titular role in the 'Hailey Dean Mystery' series. Martin was born to an employee of a department store and the kindergarten teacher. Her first acting experience was as a child at the age of seven. her aunt, the nanny of Michael Landon's household, assisted Martin find a role as an actor on the 1982 television series Father Murphy. In the years following the time of her Yale University graduation, she started to focus on acting and was able to land substantial roles in both cinema and television. Martin is, in addition to being an excellent actor and dancer, she is also an accomplished ballet photographer. A mother of two, Martin is the spokesperson for the nation for Lupus and has been informing people about the illness since her sister died at just 19.
